Scarabaeidae
This collection was inspired by the evolution of beetles. These insects used to have two sets of wings, but they have evolved to have a hard outer shell of protection over their wings. The juxtaposition of a soft beetle inside a hard shell inspired a combination of soft draped cowls and hard structural tops. The fabrics for this collection are also all natural fibers, inspired by the positive impact beetles can have on their environment.

Liz Claiborne
My submission for The Liz Claiborne Design Scholarship Award includes print designs based on her iconic eye wear. The apparel collection I designed for this CFDA scholarship competition was designed for the young adult plus sized consumer, with an emphasis on fun prints and styles that can be easily mixed and matched.

Walking Fish
This collection is inspired by the axolotl's regeneration abilities and their tendency to sprout extra limbs. Ribbon and rag fringes are used to mimic their external gills while the silhouettes mimic menswear styles of the 17th century. This collection is all about expansion and taking up all of the space you deserve.
